Maureen O. Best

 Founder and Executive Director

Maureen began her career as a speech-language pathologist passionate about giving children with disabilities a voice.  After working as an SLP for many years, she transitioned to higher education where she worked as a full time assistant professor of special education at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 

Feeling frustrated with the lack of high quality training for educators, she was inspired to create an innovative small business to address the rapidly changing educational needs of children and adults with disabilities and the educators who teach them.  She founded Creative Solutions for Education Group, LLC in April of 2016 providing customized, impactful professional learning opportunities for school districts, assistive technology consulting, and special education advocacy services.  CSEGLLC provides services across the United States and Canada.

Additionally, Maureen has completed all of her coursework for a PhD in Language and Literacy.  She is currently completing research for her dissertation focused on IEP quality for students with language and literacy challenges.  Maureen also works as Clinical Coordinator and Adjunct Professor in the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Program at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.  

Maureen was accepted into the first Prezi certification cohort and completed coursework to become a Prezi Certified Educator and a Prezi Certified Educator Trainer in 2021.
